LFR KOR holds successful Yugyugan Disco 2011

On October 22, 2011, the Ladies for Rizal and Knights of Rizal e.V. Bonn Chapter held another successful and fun-filled Yugyugan Disco at the Sankt Winfried Untekirche in Bonn. Thanks to DJ Dirk and DJ Toni, and especially Lady Gloria M., guests enjoyed dance music from the 1960s to the present and happily danced the night away!  Some party-goers even came early to have their sumptuous dinner at the venue, a mixture of Filipino and German dishes at affordable prices, provided by the hardworking Ladies of Rizal.

Many door and raffle prizes were given away to lucky patrons. The LFR and KOR sends their congratulations once again to Nanay Conching for winning the grand prize of a brand new Android Laptop! The proceeds of the event will fund our charitable projects in the Philippines. Thanks once again to all our friends and supporters and see you all next year!

A lot of wonderful prizes are in store for disco-goers and patrons of the LFR and KOR at their annual Yugyugan Disco to be held on Saturday, 22 October 2011. For a tombola ticket worth 1 Euro the following prizes could be won: Laptop Computer, (Two) Navigation Systems, Digital Camera, AEG Dampfbuegelstation (AEG steam iron), AEG Bodenstaubsauger (AEG Vacuum cleaner) rice cooker, 1 sack of rice and many many more!

Flashback 2010: Yugyugan Disco to the Max

To chase the cold winter away, the LFR KOR Bonn Chapter held their annual Yugyugan Disco at the Sankt Winfried Unterkirche in Bonn on 20 November 2010. The event was very well attended by both young and the young-at-heart alike due to an impressive reportoire of dance songs from the 60s boogie until 2010 pop.

 The organisation not only offered food and drinks at affordable prices to the dance-weary but continued the tradition of a raffling off huge prizes for patrons who bought Tombola tickets. For a 1 Euro ticket, disco-goers availed of the chance to win a balikbayan box to the Philipines, digital photocamera, digital photo frame, 1 sack of rice and the main prize: a netbook computer from Acer.

Another highlight of the Yugyugan was the "mob dance" led by two expert dance instructors: Kai and Tanya. Everybody had so much fun that the dancing continued until early morning.

Proceeds of the affair will go to the different social projects of the LFR and KOR in the Philippines.
