LFR KOR Participates in Philippine Independence Day Celebrations in Berlin

Last June 12 2012, the Philippine Embassy in Berlin celebrated the 114th year of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence by holding a flag raising ceremony at the Embassy’s Bulwagang Jose Rizal. During the ceremony, the national anthem of the Philippines, the "Lupang Hinirang" was sung and the "Panunumpa sa Watawat” was recited.

Messages of H.E. President Benigno S. Aquino III and Hon. Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F. del Rosario were read to the attending crowd.  Our very own Sir Peter and Sir Celso attended the event on behalf of the organization.

LFR KOR celebrates Christmas Party 2011

Merry Christmas to All from the Ladies and Knights of Rizal Bonn!

After a turbulent year, the Ladies for Rizal and Knights of Rizal Bonn Chapter celebrated a Christmas party that heralded the strength of the organisation and the enduring commitment of its members to solidarity and teamwork. The party held last 02 December 2011 also highlighted the success of the LFR and KOR in overcoming the obstacles it encountered in the beginning of the year.

Noteworthy events were the group's success in the Bonner Internationales Begegnungsfest and its annual Yugyugan Disco Party. Both were fundraising events aimed to support the group's charitable activities in the Philippines. 

Happy Birthday Lady Oia!

On November 27, 2011  Lady Gloria Marten, lovingly known as "Oia" of the Ladies for Rizal Bonn Chapter celebrated her birthday surrounded by family and friends. Lady Oia, who is famous for delegating cooking responsibilities to other friends surprised all visitors with a sumptuous buffet of adobo, pancit, Schweinebraten, soup, salads and breads, and a host of other delicious treats! 

Family and friends partook of the warm dishes and celebrated the joyous event with the birthday girl. Every year, she really never fails to impress!

Happy Golden Birthday Sir Teddy!

On 11 November 2011, the Ladies for Rizal and Knights of Rizal Bonn Chapter celebrated the 50th birthday of their very own, Sir Teddy Amarga. Sir Teddy is one of the most hardworking Knights in the Chapter, a true asset to the organization.

The potluck event was held at one of the members' residence and was a truly joyous affair. As usual, food was aplenty and drinks were overflowing.

Happy Birthday to LFR Bonn Adviser, Lady Jeni!

To celebrate the birthday of LFR Bonn Chapter Adviser Lady Jeniffer Plueckebaum on October 28, Sir Peter  Plueckebaum invited all LFR and KOR as well as close friends to a dinner party at the Chinese Restaurant in Tannenbusch. The restaurant is a favorite of the Bonn Chapter for important celebrations, and therefore, the group was able to secure their usual "choice seats" at the corner.

The buffet menu was excellent as usual, and the party went on until late in the evening. Happy birthday to our beloved Chapter Adviser, Lady Jeni Plueckebaum!

LFR KOR holds Post Yugyugan Celebration

Celebrating the success of Yugyugan Disco 2011

To celebrate the success of the Ladies for Rizal and Knights of Rizal eV's 2011 Yugyugan Disco, the President of the LFR, Lady Helen Lacuna, invited all the hardworking Ladies and Knights for a simple but sumptuous dinner at her residence. Madame President thanked everybody for their effort and hailed the teamwork of all involved.

Lechon, ginataang kalabasa, fried chicken, Schweinebraten, insalate mozarella con pomodoro and many other delicious dishes were shared by everyone. The evening was capped with overflowing drinks and lots of stories and laughter.

Thanks Madame President for recognizing our hard work and rewarding us for our efforts!
